By
According to AppleInsider, Apple is now planning to go for 5G Gigabit Wi-Fi which is a newer and a faster technology than the current one it offers. This new 802.11ac standard achieves much faster speeds compared to the current existing 802.11n specification that is found in current iOS device.
The technology makes the use of 2 to 4 times the frequency bandwidth and transfers data more efficiently and requires more antennas. The “Gigabit WiFi” offers thrice the speed compared to the current one and can provide users with speeds over 1 GHz/s.
It might be true Apple might bring the technology before iPhone 5 launch and the 5G technology would be incorporated in it. Stay tuned we will keep you updated with more on the technology.
