Avira joins hands with secure.me for addressing Facebook privacy and security concern
ByPrivacy has been a major issue that has been bugging the World’s biggest social network users for a long time. And not far from that is the security factor as well as Facebook has been recently known to undergo hack attempts and occasionally is spammed by spammers as well. Avira has moved one step ahead and this one step is unique than any other anti-virus developers have to offer.
Avira has become partners with secure.me with an aim to protect users from not only the regular Malware, but also defend personal information and privacy. The news was made public at CES 2012 in Las Vegas. Avira said that their Internet Security 2012 suite will include Facebook security services bundled up from secure.me as well.
Founder of secure.me, Christian Sigl, said:
“Today, basically everybody protects their PC with antivirus software. With the use of social networks and extensive online sharing, a new type of vulnerability has evolved, in fact the violability of your own and your children‘s personal data, privacy and identity.”
Avira Internet Security 2012 merged with secure.me will simplify the protection of Facebook. Secure.me always monitors Facebook profile to identify any threats, scams or posts which might harm or threat your privacy. Additionally, facial recognition is used to identify any photos of you that you were tagged and might not have knowledge of. The bundle is valid for one year and is available in market today for USD 59.99. To purchase, head over to the link here.
