Looking for Android ICS on your Samsung Galaxy S ? Still browsing and Google search and unlucky? SamMobile have released a guide to install Ice Cream Sandwich for Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000 (Samsung is not going to release this ever). We have compiled a guide for you. Before you proceed, technoflames team will not be responsible for any sort of issue that may arise after updating your Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000.

SamMobile speaks of this update as a firmware that is based on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread but added feature of Android ICS with some added improvements which are:

  2. Extract the ROM from second file placing the contents on desktop. Close Samsung’s KIES software if it is open.
  3. Launch ODIN
  4. Turn off your Samsung Galaxy S GT-i9000. Now press and hold the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons to boot into Download Mode
  5. Connect your Galaxy S smartphone with your PC using USB cable. ODIN will auto detect it.
  6. Click PDA in ODIN and select CODE_I9000XXJVU_CL851880_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5 file from the extracted ROM contents on desktop (step 2).
