As pod2g heats up the iPhone community with his deadly tweets which claim that he will soon release untethered jailbreak device for iOS 5.1, our other jailbreak gurus, iPhone Dev team, have updated their Redsn0w which includes untethered jailbreak Corona A5 for iOS 5.0.1 for iPhone 4S and iPad 2.

We just posted that the Linux version for Absinthe is out and previously we had posted guide on how to untether jailbreak iOS device on Mac and on Windows but now Linux users don’t need to stay in shadows long. Absinthe is the tool that allows users to jailbreak their iPhone 4S and iPad 2 that are running on iOS 5.0.1 or iOS 5 but that is just not it, you will never need to jailbreak your device again as this is an untethered jailbreak tool. Currently, Absinthe has been available for Mac and Windows users only but a while ago the Chronic Dev Team has also released it for Linux.
Absinthe is the tool that you would be looking for recently. It is the tool that allows users to jailbreak their A5 devices however Absinthe didn’t prove to be perfect at all. There have been loads of bugs that came with its release and now Absinthe for Mac has received yet another update, this time fixing the VPN and White Icon Errors.
As promised we are now revealing you the guide to untether jailbreak your iPhone 4S or iPad 2 running on iOS 5 or iOS 5.0.1 using Windows. Previously the jailbreak was compatible only for Mac users but then pod2g’s team released the jailbreak for Windows but it had to be done using a CLI tool.
