A new vulnerability discovered by Pod2G has led to solution of jailbreaking iOS 5.1 on iPhone4S and iPhone 4 (untethered). Pod2g names these major exploits as “Kernel Land” and “Root Land”. He also says that they will be added in his upcoming jailbreak for iOS 5.1 soon! How cool is that?
We previously weeks back posted users about the different jailbreak methods that were quickly employed by different hackers after the release of iOS 5.1 and users successfully managed to jailbreak their new iPad’s untethered in no time. Since then there has been no news but now the famous hacker pod2g is back, who brought the first ever untethered jailbreak for the new iPhone 4S even.
We had previously informed you that two of the famous hackers MuscleNerd and i0n1c managed to get their hands inside iPad 3 / new iPad as some call it, and successfully managed to run Cydia on their new iOS devices. Now another hacker known as Chpwn has joined the party becoming the third every guy to untether jailbreak the new iPad.
As you might know that just yesterday the Apple’s next generation iPad went on sale and its jailbreak has been on the headlines everywhere. Within a time span of less than 24 hours there have been news that the new gadget has been jailbroken successfully. Now the famous iDevice hacker i0n1c has brought us another update regarding the untethered jailbreak for the new iPad.
Just within a day after the release of the new iPad, jailbreakers have managed their way into the new iPad 3 and have managed to jailbreak the new iPad. Previous report from the Dev Team had suggested that maybe iPad 3 would get a jailbreak any time soon but that wasn’t confirmed till now.
